Terms of Service

Welcome to BookZed. By accessing or using https://bookzed.app (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Overview of Services

BookZed provides an online platform that connects customers with barbers, hairdressers, and beauty professionals ("Shops" or "Service Providers") in Zambia. BookZed facilitates discovery, scheduling, and confirmation of appointments via SMS and online tools.

2. Account Registration and Responsibilities

  • Customers: You may explore available shops without an account. Creating an account or booking requires providing accurate contact information (e.g., phone number for SMS confirmation).
  • Shop Owners: You are responsible for maintaining accurate shop listings, including pricing (in Zambian Kwacha - ZMW), services, operating hours, and availability.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

3. Bookings, Cancellations, and Payments

  • Bookings: Confirmations are sent via SMS or through the platform. A booking creates a direct service agreement between the customer and the selected Shop.
  • Payments: Unless specified otherwise on the platform, payments for services rendered are made directly to the Shop at the time of service. BookZed is not responsible for pricing disputes between customers and Shops.
  • Cancellations: Customers and Shops are encouraged to cancel or reschedule appointments as early as possible to respect time slots.

4. Platform Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Provide false booking information or fail to show up for scheduled appointments repeatedly ("no-shows").
  • Post fraudulent or misleading shop information, reviews, or prices.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the operation of the BookZed platform.

5. Role of BookZed

BookZed is an intermediary technology platform. We do not employ the barbers or hairdressers listed, nor do we operate the shops. We are not liable for the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any services performed by independent Shops listed on the Platform.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Zambia, BookZed shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Platform or services obtained through listed Shops.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Zambia. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Zambia.
